STIRLING MENTAL HEALTH POP UP FESTIVAL 2012: THESE ARE A FEW OF OUR FAVOURITE THINGS

This mini–festival is the culmination of a mental health service user–led creative industries development project creating resources that can be used by people with mental health issues, or by those caring for people experiencing mental health issues. Taking over a pop–up retail unit, there will be information stalls, arts and crafts to buy and try, aromatherapy and massage demonstrations plus music performances.

We can exclusively announce that the pop festival will be in the Made in Stirling shop unit

    Aromatherapy and Massage
Join us at our drop-in sessions where you can meet Pamela Mitchell, a qualified aromatherapist who will be giving us a short introduction about the different benefits and uses of oils.  She will then be offering free 1-2-1 hand/arm massages for those in need of some relaxation.  Please note that as this is a 1-2-1 massage, Pam can only give around 6 sessions in the 2 hours that she is in the shop.
Pamela joins us on Saturday from 11am - 1pm and on Sunday from 1pm - 3pm.
    Music
On Saturday afternoon from 1.30pm, the shop will be full of music thanks to the talents of fiddle player Jamie Smith and guitarist Tom Oakes.
    Art and Crafts
Over the weekend, visitors to the shop will be given the opportunity to make their own badges for a small fee of 50p per badge or free if the badge has been made for us to sell in the shop.
Chris will also be running a painting workshop on Sunday morning from 11am-1pm.   This will be a drop-in workshop where participants are likely to complete a painting that they can take home in only 30 minutes!
