Background:
Jack Knox studied at Glasgow School of Art and the Andre Lhote Atelier in Paris. He was Lecturer in Drawing and Painting at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Head of Drawing and Painting at Glasgow School of Art. He lives and paints in Broughty Ferry.
Influences:

His work is held in public collections including the National Gallery of Modern Art, Edinburgh. He has exhibited at The Scottish Gallery, Edinburgh; Richard Demarco Gallery, Edinburgh; Serpentine Gallery, London; Buckingham Gallery, London; Civic Arts Centre, Aberdeen; Open Eye Gallery, Edinburgh; Compass and Cyril Gerber Fine Art Galleries, Glasgow
Awards include RSA - Maude Gemmell Hutchison Prize. He received an Honorary Degree from Glasgow University and the R.I.A.S. He illustrated The Scottish Bestiary by George Mackay Brown and La Pontiniere by David and Hilary Brown.
